Accessory head on a 79 chevy 350? Can i tap the passenger side?
I've got a 79 chevy 350...it has v-belt pulleys and the drivers side head has the accessory holes in the head (3). However the passenger side just has 1 hole. Is it safe to tap the other two holes to convert it to a serpentine set-up? Or will it be fine not bolting up the 2 missing holes on the head if I brace the A/C?
Yes you can drill and tap for the other 2 bolt holes.
Just be sure to mark holes in right place, use a center punch to help keep bit from walking.
Use drill stops on your bit to keep from drilling too far..
