The Rode VideoMic is a cost effective, camera mounting shotgun microphone that features an integrated shock mount and close signal reproduction. The VideoMic features a small, light weight profile allowing quick, unobtrusive mounting on DV and HDV cameras without appearing in the frame. The super-cardioid polar pattern and barrel canceling design attenuates side axis audio and results in maximum response at the front of the capsule. The shock-mount is permanently attached to the microphone and an attached shoe mount allows the entire microphone to be mounted to a hot-shoe on a camcorder.
