i own a 94 chevy s-10 blazer 4.3l one side of plugs are carbon fouled and the other side the plugs are fine..now my question is in 2 parts...some told me that the valve seals are bad on that side(the side thats carbon fouled)..is that true?..and if it is,is there a way i can change them without using compressed air,and without taking head off? would like to cut my cost and time..but if not ..ok..thanks for your help on this...
it could very well be true about the seals being bad,,but if there bad on the left side there going to be bad on the right also,,and no there is no-way possible to install them without using compressed air,,if you try this,,you will drop a valve in to the engine,,then you will have to remove the head to get it out,,i own a repair shop,,and do this all the time,,and believe me i have seen a lot of people try this,,the valve will fall in,,then your in trouble,,what you need to do is let someone do this job for you,,there are some things that the home mechanic shouldn't try,,and this is one of them,,you can take my advice ,,or not,,but it is going to cost you more if you try and do it your self,,i been at it for 35 yrs,,i hope this help,s.
