How do I E-Z Out a busted off E-Z Out?

I was trying to remove a busted off stud in a engine cylinder head when I busted off the E-Z Out now the E-Z Out is so hard I cannot even get a drill bit to start into it Help please???

You will not be able to drill the easy-out, it's too brittle. Th easiest solution by far is to try to remove the easy-out by drilling small holes around it. If you're able to remove the easy-out, purchase a heli-coil kit (available at most auto parts stores) for the size of the original thread. The kit comes with a drill bit, tap, heli-coils, inserter, and instructions.

On occasion I have drilled a hole (hole must be a bit larger than stud, make sure that you won't drill into water jacket) beside the stud. Then use a punch to move broken stud (with broken easy-out) into drilled hole, then remove stud. Next put a temporary stud into original threaded hole. Re-drill hole, tap thread in hole. Remove temporary stud. Install a cut off bolt into threaded hole using permanent type loctite. Now install heli-coil as outlined in previous paragraph.
