Here are some more information for Dodge Chrysler Plymouth:

When buying cheap cars under 1000 dollars the choices are limitless. However some stand out more than others; these "All-Stars" stand out for a number of reasons. Some are just great cars and others lets say are just plain cool or fun to own, so I wanted to start showing some love to the greatest of the great beaters out there.
Profile: Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon
Ok so this one has some bias with me, because I owned one. It was dirt cheap, served my purposes well, and put up with all the stupid abuse that only a 16 year old kid can dish out. From 1978-1990 During the "K" car years Chrysler built these shoe-boxes to be cheap and economical as an answer to the VW rabbit and Golf models. The Omni/Horizons even share most of the characteristics of the VW competition with a 5-door hatch design, rear beam axle, and a 4 cylinder motor that in the base models provided "adequate" horsepower enough to at least be faster than a bicycle. However one reason these cars are special is that for limited production Carrol Shelby (don't think I need to explain who he is) partnered with Chrysler to produce two models the GLH and the GLH-S, which stands for "goes like hell". These models received brake and suspension upgrades as well as turbocharged engines. The rarest of the rare GLH-S models produced a factory rated 175hp enough to embarrass a few mustangs and camaros.
Now that we have some history lets review a few of the finer points of Omni ownership. First of all they're cheap. I mean really cheap examples exceeding $1000-$1500 are only the cleanest of the clean or the rarest of the rare turbo models. Perfectly good examples of base models as well as some turbos can be had all day long for a few hundred bucks (although the recent demand for gas savers may drive prices up). These little shoe boxes get around 40mpg and the parts are just as cheap as the cars. One great thing about the "K" cars is that they made so many off of virtually the same platform so parts from everything from a Lebaron to a Caravan can fit in these cars. My experience from owning one was that it was simply tough as nails, surprisingly comfortable (these might be one of the few 80's American cars that had an interior that wont completely fall apart) and it was fun to drive. These cars share the same concept as other fun to drive hot hatches like the GTI and Civic and most of the best performance parts are available from where else but Mopar. So if your looking for a nice cheap beater that's good on gas and fun to drive the crap out of an Omni is a somewhat forgotten, but very available choice.

Chrysler Neon New Radio Dash Kit
In this article we will see how this car was manufactured, its features and about the radio dash kit in it. In the year 1925 Chrysler Corporation was launched. Chrysler neon car was introduced in the year 1994 by Chrysler Corporation. I t was also known as Dodge SX and Plymouth neon. Its production terminated in the year 2005. It has assembling plants in Mexico, USA and Illinois. It follows FF layout and PL platform. It follows in the range of compact cars. It replaced Dodge shadow and Dodge colt and was succeeded by Dodge caliber. It came in various configurations and versions starting from 1995 till 2005 but our focus in this article is restricted to only neon cars from 2000 till 2005 which were models of 2nd generation.
To improve acceleration ACR gears were used. However this caused lot of problems by reducing the mileage. Also more noise was generated so they went on with original gear system. The transmission was manual and 5 speed. Later this was also changed to automatic with four and three speed. The name change from neon to SX2 happened in the year 2003 in Canada. It was sold as a luxury car in Brazil and remained a powerful competitor to Escort (Ford) in Mexico. Doors which had full frames replaced frame less windows of 1st generation. It was claimed by the company that over 1000 modifications were done from the 1st version. The bigger size and different exteriors and interiors added to the weight. Its body style had 4 door and sedan type. But only 2 doors remained famous that time. As a result of this there was a drop in sales with this model. It was 4.3 meters in length and 1.7 meters in width.
The wheel base was 2.67 meter. In R/T model mechanical upgrades were made and this model made debut in the year 1998. Power windows were available as an option. The bumper covers of few colors were not painted rather molding in those colors were done. Dodge SRT is closely related to this model. Both 1st and 2nd generation did not fare well in various safety tests like crash tests and head rests. The number of accidents that were fatal was also reported to be high when compared with other small cars. The radio dash kit for this model is very advanced and comes in black color. This is suited for models of Chrysler from 2001 onwards. The kit includes panel, cage to mount fittings and screws, both aerial and harness adaptors and neon type panel. It can be readily installed and its fine texture and colour matches the look of car interiors. It is also suited for other Chrysler models from 1995 to 2005.The gas mileage are decent though not exceptional. The kits can be purchased online at web sites powernetshop.at. They are the industry standard for installation kits, often copied, never duplicated. Priced around 18 to 90 Euros it is also possible to bargain and get at a cheaper rate by comparing even in online purchases.

What's that sound Chryslers like to make when slowing down?
I noticed most if not all Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth made in the past 10-15 years make a fast clicking sound when almost to a complete stop... what is that?
The clicking or ratcheting sound is in fact the transmissions solenoid pack operating, when changing gears,(@ downshifting). this is a normal characteristic of the 41TE, and 42LE transaxle.
The 41TE is found in many cars and vans that are FWD and used w/ the 3.0 and 3.3/ 3.8 V-6. late model 2.4L 4cyl. and 2.5 V-6's also use them.
Dealer, Chrysler part ways
Despite an outpouring of public support, an Internet campaign and historically strong sales, J.R. Tomkinson says his affiliation with Chrysler LLC is no more.
