Here are some more information for Dodge Crankshaft Position:

ECU remapping is basically fine tuning the software program that controls your engine management system (ECU). Most reputable companies use bespoke maps that are tailored to your car and your own individual requirements.
Today's modern engines rely heavily on computer controlled engine management systems. Basically each engine has an array of sensors which monitor lots of things such as throttle position, crank position, airflow etc. These signals are sent to the Engine Control Unit (ECU), which processes the information received to give the best engine performance for any given driving condition.
So why should I remap my ECU? When vehicles are distributed throughout the world, manufacturers adopt a one map fits all policy. This one map has to take into account many different factors that are necessary for each export country. Areas such as climate, emissions, fuel quality etc all have to be considered by the manufacturer. What this means is that a vehicle ECU is never optimised for one individual situation.
So how can a reputable ECU remapping company help? They will actually read your own engine's map file, modify it and then upload it back to the ECU. The company should always take the time to find out your own individual requirements and what you want to achieve from a remap. They will then tailor the map to suit before it is uploaded back to the ECU. By remapping your ECU it is easily possible to release extra power and torque from your engine without any reliability issues. Many owners also report that they have seen improved fuel economy once their engine has been remapped (chipped). Be aware that although many customers experience improved fuel economy, this depends on your own driving style and how heavy your right foot is.
The increase in power and torque that is gained using ECU remapping provides a much smoother drive, with increased flexibility throughout the rev range, allowing for smoother acceleration and better overtaking.
Beware of cheap imitations... There are many companies out there offering what seem like value for money ECU remapping services. Most of these companies use stock files (maps) that are cheaply available through the internet or other sources and are NOT tailored to your own individual requirements. These can actually damage your engine as they are not specific to your vehicle.
Before remapping your ECU any reputable company should carry out a full diagnostics check of your engine and advise you accordingly if there are any potential problems or components that need replacing. Please be aware that, although remapping/chipping an ECU does not cause failure it can exasperate already failing components. In order to assure a quality ECU remapping service the company of choice should not carry out work on any engine that is found to be faulty without written consent from the owner. If they ignore faults shown up by the diagnostic process, then make your excuses and politely leave their premises.
What kind of improvements can I expect? As mentioned you will notice an improvement in power and torque right throughout the rev range, along with the possibility of improved fuel economy. See below for a general idea of average improvements for different engine types:
Petrol (non-turbo) By remapping a normally aspirated engine ECU, you would normally expect to see a 10 - 15% increase in power (bhp) depending on your exact engine specification, and around a 15 - 20% increase in torque (Nm) throughout the rev range. This improves engine response on a lighter throttle.
Petrol (turbo) By installing a modified engine ECU map on to a turbo engine you would normally expect to achieve around a 20 - 30% increase in power (bhp), with an increase in torque of around 20 - 40% depending on your engine specification. The large increases in both power and torque will greatly improve the engine flexibility in all gears and throughout the rev range.
Diesel (turbo) Remapping a diesel turbo ECU normally sees the greatest gains of any engine type. Typically you will achieve an increase of 25 - 50% power (bhp) and around a 50 - 75% increase in torque depending on your engine specification. The engine response is greatly improved throughout the whole rev range and in all gears. Diesel engines are well known for providing huge amounts of torque and in gear performance. A remapped modern turbo diesel engine has the ability to embarrass many petrol engine cars under normal driving conditions.

The Amazing Dodge Viper GTS Road Car
The Dodge division of the Chrysler LLC, a U.S. Automobile manufacturer, started the production of the Dodge Viper in 1992. Inspired from the AC Cobra, the then status symbol car, the Dodge Viper was launched with a high-performance and better styling engine; and a more muscular and aggressive-styling body.
First Generation
The Viper RT/10 is the first model of its kind was released in 1991. The two-door roadster had a powerful engine that weighed 711 lbs and produced 400bhp. Based on the design of Chrysler LA engine, modified and refurbished by the Lamborghini, also a production of the Chrysler Corporation, 8.0L, 400bhp and 465 lb-ft enhanced engine was fitted into this compact car with a sporty-look. Attaining a maximum speed of more than 180 mph, the performance of this elite car could very well complete a quarter mile in just 12.6 seconds. The Spartan car of its own kind, the first-generation Dodge Viper produced an acceleration of 0 - 60 mph in only 4.6 seconds and reached 100 mph in 9.2 seconds. This was something unachievable by any other car during those times.
Second Generation
Dodge Viper GTS, a coupe model of the initial release was later released in 1996. Much upgraded features were included in this model, few of which are the better enhanced engine, redesigned suspension and stiffer chassis. This car came up with a higher power and lesser weight of the body. The top speed was increased by 11mph. This car was then rated as the top car even when compared with the likes of the Ferrari 550, Chevrolet Corvette, Porsche 911 and also Honda NSX. Almost 10,000 Vipers of the second generation model were sold in less than six years.
Third Generation
The second-generation car underwent a major redesign bringing up the Viper SRT-10 in 2003. The style was completely changed, the body has an altogether new look and the initial release came as a convertible. Viper SRT-10 Coupe was later launched based on the response of the convertible. Upgraded and powerful 8.3L V10 engine was included in this coupe. The engines that released along with this car are of 510-hp and 535 lb-ft that offered high performance.
Fourth Generation
600 bhp at 6000 rpm engine was launched with the fourth generation of the Viper SRT-10, which was released in 2008. This is the currently available car in the market today. Major internal redesigns were made in this fourth-generation car though the outer looks had slight changes in the body angling and styling. Continental AG developed the electronic engine controller which could monitor the crankshaft and the cylinder position that processes more power than its previous version engine. This cylinder position is monitored by the new engine up to 6 times on each firing. This newly designed enhanced engine produced an acceleration of 0 - 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds and reached 100 mph in 7.6 seconds, attaining a top speed of 202 mph. Chrysler could redefine the Dodge Viper with the release of this Viper SRT-10 in the fourth-generation of its model. It was thoroughly appreciated and well-received in the global auto market.

Drove fine one day. Next morning wouldn't start. Cranks over and over, but no fire. Changed Cam sensor and Crankshaft position sensor. Don't seem to be getting eany spark at all. Am getting fuel. What would any of you suggest next?
check in the fuse panel for the computer fuse, you probably already checked this but i got one last week that did this and the guy had it towed to the shop just for a blown fuse, that was all that had happened to it,if he had checked in the fuse panel real good he could have saved 80 bucks,i didn't even charge for the fuse, i figured he spent enough on it already, good luck.
1999 Dodge Durango SLT from North America - Comments
I have a 1999 Dodge Durango, and even though I have put money into for more than normal maintenance, I love it, but a few weeks ago it quit. We went into a store (it had been running fine), and when we came back out, it wouldn't start.
