Here are some more information for Dodge Cylinder Heads:

I pimped my first car by accident - literally by accident. My first car was a 1971 dodge challenger and I was driving home from the lake when I spun out and dented the wheel on a cement island. When I bought the car it came with the stock wheels and the tires were fairly worn. I needed to replace the dented wheel anyway so why not go all the way and get a whole new set. Since the wheels were slightly larger then the originals I'd need some new treads as well. This was to be the first of many expenses I would cover with this car. Most of which unfortunately were not of the pimping kind.
I purchased a set of 5 spoke chrome wheels and some Goodrich radials. I was a teenager just out of school so I had a limited budget, which I had just spent. Money from a lawsuit when a truck clipped me: but that's another story. Anyway I loved how the new wheels looked. After a few days I noticed that the rest of the car looked a little plain compared to those shining rims. I went out and purchased some pin stripping tape and got to work. Several rolls later and just before my fingers seized up I had a nice set of pinstripes. I was quite proud of myself, especially since I was a rank amateur at anything automotive. So I gave myself a pat on the back hopped in my shiny wheeled pin striped ride and laid a nice long patch of rubber to celebrate.
It wasn't long before I noticed that the interior was looking a bit boring compared to the outside. I loved the stock three-spoke steering wheel but decided to go with a new polished wood steering wheel. I found some great seat covers and completed the interior transformation. Good thing I'd managed to get some overtime at work. So once again I smoked the tires while resting comfortably in my pimping new seat covers with my hands firmly gripped around the varnished mahogany steering wheel.
Things were going great until I pulled up nest to my friend one day. I couldn't hear him because his car was thumping like herd of stampeding herd of elephants. After he drove off I realized I had to do something about my anemic stock stereo system. Back to work to ask for more overtime. Luckily the mill was actually busy at the time. Well a few weeks later I was tearing out the dashboard and installing my new Pioneer stereo, mounting the speakers in the front doors and the back windowsill, and bolting down the amps and boom box in the trunk. One more time I sat in those cushy seat covers and fired up my pimped out ride. I was rumbling and thumping as I peeled out from the driveway. The neighbors must have loved me then.
Sadly that was the end of my pimping adventures with my first car. After that the old Challenger wanted a little too much attention; brake jobs, blown cylinder heads, new carburetor. I never could keep up long enough to take it that next level. About a year later I sold her.
When my daughter gets her first car and wants to throw in a DVD player with my money of course I'll just sit her down and tell her "I pimped my first car..."

Dodge Avenger and Nitro Headed for the UK Market
Starting this summer, British car enthusiasts will have the chance to ride new vehicles from DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group division. Straight from the company's headquarters in Michigan, Chrysler Group will bring the new Dodge Nitro SUV and Dodge Avenger sedan to roll out in dealer showrooms all over the United Kingdom. Chrysler Group also released the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the two vehicles.
According to Peter Lambert, Managing Director of Chrysler Group UK:
“People want to drive a car that helps them to stand out from the crowd and still manages to offer great value for money. Our new Dodge vehicles deliver bold and aggressive styling together with masses of standard kit that make them both incredibly good value.”
First off is the all-new 4-door Dodge Nitro sport utility vehicle (SUV). The vehicle retains its boxy and aggressive body styling with 20-inch and chrome-clad aluminum wheels and performance tires. Compared to the VW Touareg mid size SUV with trapezoidal VW grille, the new Nitro features Dodge's signature crosshair grille on its front fascia that marks its identity.
“In a world of mostly bland competitors, the Dodge Nitro has the design, engineering and performance to inspire drivers and shake up the mid-size SUV market", says Peter Lambert. “The Nitro boasts excellent overall performance and competitive fuel economy, as well as a comprehensive range of safety, security and convenience features including the new ‘Load ‘N Go’ rear floor cargo system.” he added
Available in three model trims, UK customers will have a choice of two power plants for the new Dodge Nitro: an all-new 2.8-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine and a 3.7-litre petrol engine.
The all-new 2.8-litre common-rail turbo diesel engine delivers 174 hp and produces 339 lb.-ft or peak torque, mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the more powerful 3.7-litre SOHC V6 petrol engine pumps out 203 hp and produces 232 lb.-ft. amount of pulling force torque output. The engine is combined with a standard automatic transmission powering the vehicle's 4x4 drivetrain configuration.
The new Dodge Nitro will roll out in the UK market with the following MSRP: 2.8 CRD SE (MT) - £18,990 ($37,368 USD); 2.8 CRD SXT (MT) - £22,490 ($44,255 USD); 2.8 CRD SXT (AT) £23,490 ($46,223 USD); 3.7 SXT (AT) - £23,490 ($46,223 USD).
Meanwhile, the Dodge Avenger sedan comes in two model trim levels – Avenger SE and Avenger SXT. Both models are available with either a petrol or a turbo diesel engine with 2.0 liter of displacement. The 2.0-liter petrol engine is capable of delivering 154 hp and produces 140 lb.-ft. amount of torque, coupled with a 5-speed automatic gearbox. Base MSRP for Dodge Avenger SE with 2.0-liter petrol engine is at 14,995 British pounds ($29,500 USD).
For fuel efficient customers, the 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine is available with power output of 38 hp and 229 lb.-ft. amount of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. MSRP for the Dodge Avenger SE with this type of engine starts at 15,995 ($31,475).

how can i check a cylinder head on a dodge neon 97 after ive took it off.?
its a 2.0 sohc just want to know how to check it.
First look for visible cracks around each of the holes on the valve side of the head. Also look inside the compression chamber, especially between the valves. Get a strong straight edge, no more than 1/8 " thick and lay it along the head across all the chambers. Using a feeler guage, make sure the gap, if there is any, between the straight edge and the head is within spec for that engine. Check it in at least five different areas. straight across and corner to corner. Make sure the head surface is clean first. Next is to check the valves. Rest the head on its side so the intake or exhaust ports are facing up. Fill the port with water. If the water does not leak past the valve, the valve is ok. If it does leak, the services of a good machine shop is required to reface the valves. Flip the head over and test the ports on the other side.
