As with most things if you prepare well before hand, you probably find that all goes to plan, with no problems. Set out without planning and things go awry.
Preparing your Land Rover for an expedition is no different. Be sure, that what you don't do or decide to leave behind, will become needed. This is of course the famous "Sod's Law".
To save all this hassle, it make good sense, to put together a "survival kit" for your vehicle. Although some of what you put in it is a matter of personal choice, many of the items are really classed as essentials. Another extremely useful piece of kit is a 12ft length of tow chain, split into 4ft lengths, with connecting shackles. Of course you should always remember that should you have a serious breakdown, your Land Rover itself is a great source of repair materials. Whatever is not essential for moving safely, can be modified or cannibalised.
You may wish to add a glassfibre kit, to keep your vehicle looking good and depending on the conditions you expect to encounter, some additional items such as sand ladders or a winch may be needed. But if there's only a vague possibility that you might get stuck, take some sacks and fill them with whatever you're stuck in. Although this is probably messy, it usually works.

Every Audi car is expected to conquer the roads and highways in style and performance. Troubleshooting seldom happens because Audi puts premium on components that secure the engine's performance, as well as the exhaust system. My 92 Honda Civic Loses about 1 quart a week or so can it be the Valve Cover Gasket?
I am not exactly sure if it is a week or week and a half I don't keep good track of it but I know I do not see any oil ever under the car cause I check it very often(every day that is). I also know the valve cover gasket does leak and it does burn a little oil too! Can the valve cover gaket be the cause of losing so much oil??????
Your valve gasket can be the problem. But if you clean out the rubber gasket, re-tighten the bolts properly on the valve cover, and see no leakage around the gasket but seem to mysteriously still lose 1 quart a week, you may have other worn gaskets.
Buy a gasket kit which includes gaskets for your cylinder block and bushings for your valves. Replace your old ones and see if that helps maintain the level of oil in your engine. If you're burning oil, it will be oil leaking into one or more of your combustion chambers and out your tail pipe as dark smoke.

1) Had to replace "T.A.C." hose every couple of weeks. It was an aluminum hose covered with black paper. It connected the air filter to the exhaust header, providing warm air to the carburetor during startup. It was designed poorly, and was easily damaged just by bumping it.
