But time had taken the light
from his eyes; now a rhyme maker of old age).

"I'm going to be a rich man!"

was the mind of the young lad.

It was his plight in life (so he said).

Above all, these were wings within his mind.

I shall get no rewards for this

for telling the tale, now long forgotten,

of the old man and lad of Acopalca:

Ricardo, of the Nevados del Huaytapallana, built him a home in the village of Acopalca, now an old man of Peruvian stock. Happiness seemed to fill his golden years; his needs were few and his warm-heart longed to satisfy. He loved this tiny village, and survived on a small pension: all was well for the old man of eighty-three. For the most part, leisure and rhyming was his flowers and doves in life: the winds and seas at night. For he never fought with the sun or rain, it was always sweet to him.

Ah! Yes...this lad I mentioned before--Julio, lived nearby in an old adobe house, built on the slopes of the Nevados--once only, I should call him seeker, pressed to give a reason, he proclaimed to the old rhyme maker, "I shall one day be the richest man in Peru!" He shut his eyes and smiled.... Yet, still the lad pressed the rhyme maker for his words of wisdom, "Say what!" He said, turning away his face. He broke the silence...." Well, here this..." and the rhyme maker said--such words as these:
"Julio:

when this (wish) is in your hands, I shall be below these opal stones, that cover the pathways of the Nevados. But the real yarn is on you, for you will never know who your friends are, as they will try to spike you inside their tombs; for you and I, there is more to this than you've a notion of...."

Julio frowned and smiled, and smiled and frowned--but still his heart was in the riches the world had to offer a man willing to take them, so he said to the old man (in a moan), "So old are you!..." (and hesitated to say another word, but said no more). "Yes," said the old man, "I am very old...very old indeed, (then added): Well...God speed!"

There was no stopping him, and so the old man waited ten-years for his return.

It was a cool morning in October, there was a knocking on the kitchen door, and Maria, who was nearby, by the pantry, took a step: threw back the catch, opening it.

How can I tell you what I saw? I sit mused. Slender she stood, most beautiful she was, and an inch smaller than the young lad she stood, who had a most handsome face indeed; dressed like a prince he was. Dark-eyed and skin colored like the Nevados.
"Come in;" she said at last, and swung the door wider, and he kissed her on her rosy cheek.

"Welcome, my father's friend!" she cried, her eyes filled up with Ricardo's. Three times she told him, how her father had died, the rhyme maker, whose bones he thought would never rot. He died at ninety-two, roaming the Nevados.

Strangeness crept within the shadows of their bones, as if they had known each other a very long time, yet short it was. Said he, to Mary (sincere with rhyme):

"With each turn in my life, early days and late nights, it was not as natural, as this moment is to me." She saw no innocence in is face, only sorrow and disgrace; dim uneasiness, unabridged irritation in his eyes, dark and feverish like black mosaic. She saw him in his hell...; the one He knew quite well--for it must be said: of the cities riches he possessed, he was now powerless--yet content; ah! who can be with so much, and at a lost like he?

She whispered: "You came to tell the old man 'Look at me!' he said you would. And here you stand; you flood the darkness with your pain." Then he hissed back: "The rhyme maker never sleeps in his own house...!" And she answered, "Poor he was, at 92, now in his tomb: but thee, you are poor at twenty-three."

There was a pathway to the Laguna, of Huaytapallana, and as she took his hand, they walked it, her saying, "There is no more to fear, or need of a single tear," and they walked to the edge--white-mountain over looking them.
Thus,

Mourned the villagers who never saw them again; said they must have lost their way back in the descending mist of the mountains.

Note: #909; originally written on napkins at the 'Café La Favorite' in Lima, Peru, 11/2/2005. A Poetic Tale, of prose; I have walked this pathway to what is known in English as White Mountain, and in Spanish, as Huaytapallana, and once the fog descends over this valley, and covers the lake below, it is very easy to lose ones way back to the plateau, where the makeshift hotel and café is. My brother-in-law got lost once in this area and his wife had to have a rescue team go in and find him.

(Un Cuento Poético)

De frente baja, y de voz dulce

Sus días ahora contados

(en cierta época, él fue un hombre de montaña;
y cazador. Pero el tiempo había tomado la luz
de sus ojos; ahora era un anciano autor de rimas).

"¡Voy a ser un hombre rico!"

estaba el la mente del chaval joven.

Esta era su situación apremiante en la vida.

Encima de todo, estos eran alas dentro de su mente.

No conseguiré ninguna recompensa por esto;

Por contar un cuento, ahora mucho tiempo olvidado

del anciano y chaval de Acopalca:

Ricardo, de los Nevados del Huaytapallana, construyó una casa en el pueblo de Acopalca, ahora un anciano de reserva peruana. La felicidad pareció llenar sus años de oro; sus necesidades eran pocas y su buen corazón ansiaba satisfacer. El amaba a su pequeño pueblo, y sobrevivía con una pequeña pensión: todo estaba bien para el anciano de ochenta y tres años de edad. Principalmente, el entretenimiento y la rima eran sus flores y sus palomas en la vida: los vientos y mares de noche. Por que él nunca luchó con el sol o la lluvia; estos siempre eran dulce para él.

¡Ah! Si...este chaval al que mencioné antes--Julio, vivía cerca a una casa vieja de adobe, construida sobre las cuestas de los Nevados--sólo una vez, debería llamarle el buscador, forzó para dar una razón, él anunció al anciano autor de rimas, "¡Un día seré el hombre más rico en Perú!" Él cerró sus ojos y sonrió. Todavía, aún el chaval forzó al autor de rimas por sus palabras de sabiduría, "¡Que diga qué!" Él dijo, dando vuelta su cara. Él rompió el silencio. "Bien, aquí esta..." y el autor de rimas dijo--tales palabras como éstas:

"Julio:

cuando este (deseo) esté en tus manos, estaré debajo de estas piedras de ópalo, que cubren los senderos de los Nevados. Pero le verdadero cuento está sobre ti, porque tú nunca sabrás quiénes son tus amigos, pues que ellos tratarán de clavarte dentro de sus tumbas; para ti y yo, hay más de esto que la noción que tú tienes... "

Julio frunció el ceño y sonrió, y sonrió y frunció el ceño. Pero sin embargo su corazón estaba en la riqueza que el mundo tiene que ofrecer a un hombre dispuesto a tomarlo, entonces él dijo al anciano (en un gemido), "¡Eres tan viejo!..." (y vaciló para decir otra palabra, pero no dijo más). "Sí", dijo el anciano, "Estoy muy viejo...muy viejo por cierto, (después añadió): ¡Bien, Dios apresura!"

No hubo nada que lo detuviera a él, por eso el anciano esperó diez años por su regreso.

Era una mañana fresca en octubre, hubo un toque en la puerta de la cocina, y María que estaba cerca, jaló el cerrojo y abrió ésta.

¿Cómo puedo decirte lo que vi? Me senté meditando. Delgada ella estuvo de pie, muy hermosa, ella era, una pulgada más pequeña que el chaval joven, quien tenía una cara hermosa; vestido como un príncipe él estaba. De ojos negros y piel coloreada como el de los Nevados.

"Entra"; dijo ella por fin, y abrió la puerta más amplia, y él la besó en su mejilla sonrosada.
"¡Bienvenido, el amigo de mi padre!" ella exclamó, sus ojos se llenaron con los de Ricardo. Tres veces le dijo ella, cómo su padre había muerto, el anciano autor de rimas, cuyos huesos él pensó nunca se pudrirían. Él murió a los noventa y dos años, rondando por los Nevados.

Extrañeza se movió lentamente dentro de las sombras de sus huesos, como si ellos se conocían el uno al otro por muy poco tiempo. Dijo él a María (sincero con rima):

"Cada giro en mi vida, días tempranos y noches tardías, no era tan natural, como este momento lo es para mí". Ella no vio inocencia en su cara, sólo aflicción y desgracia; inquietud débil, irritación íntegra en sus ojos, oscuros y febriles como mosaico negro. Ella lo vio a él en su infierno... Él sabía que él conocía bastante bien--porque esto debe ser dicho: la riqueza de las ciudades él poseyó, él era ahora impotente--aún contento; ¿quien puede tener tanto, y estar perdido como él?

Ella susurró: "¡Tu viniste para decirle al anciano 'mírame' él dijo que lo harías. Y aquí tú estás de pie; e inundas la oscuridad con tu dolor". Entonces él contestó: "¡El autor de rimas nunca duerme en su propia casa...!" Y ella contestó, "Pobre él era, a los 92, ahora en su tumba: pero tú, tú eres pobre a los veintitrés".

Había un sendero a la Laguna del Huaytapallana, y mientras ella lo tomó de su mano, ellos anduvieron este, ella diciendo, "No hay más por temer, o necesidad de una sola lágrima", y ellos caminaron al borde--de la montaña blanca mirando encima de ellos.
Así,

Los aldeanos quedaron afligidos porque nunca los vieron de nuevo; dijeron que perdieron su camino de vuelta en la niebla que desciende de las montañas.

Nota: # 909; escrito originalmente en servilletas en el café "La Favorita" en Lima, Perú, el 2 de noviembre del 2005. Un cuento poético, de prosa; he caminado este camino que en inglés es conocido como montaña blanca, y en español, como Huaytapallana, y una vez que la niebla desciende sobre este valle, y cubre el lago abajo, es muy fácil perderse en el camino de regreso a la meseta, donde está el hotel y el café improvisado. Mi cuñado se perdió una vez en esta área y su esposa tuvo que contratar un equipo de rescate para buscarlo.

ohkay this is what happedn today i just finished my rear brake conversion everyhtin is fine, bleed it and everything it's a 94 del sol with stock front , but the rears are from a 94 integra, i used a 1725 prop vavle , can someone please help me. when i just let it sit without it on the cars brakes are normal, but when i turn it on the brake gets really soft. and the brake is weak

you need to change the master cylinder too
