Here are some more information for Isuzu Rodeo Passport:

Take a look at the automobile industry today.
Everybody knows that Honda Passport is more expensive than Isuzu Rodeo but they are the same two vehicles.
Everybody knows that Geo Prism is a clone of Toyota Corolla, but it feels cooler driving Corolla than it does with Geo Prism.
How do Honda and Toyota get away with charging you much higher prices for the same product?
Is it because they became the first to introduce the products to the market?
Not necessarily, as a matter of fact, Japanese automobile makers are known for re-developing someone else's work ... often the American model engineering and Japanese automakers were the second or even third entities (after Europeans) to introduce their vehicles to America.
While the Americans only bought cars from GMC, Ford, Chrysler, Chevy and Dodge, and these automakers believed that the American people always only buy vehicles from these brands, and they took the market for granted.
But the 1973 Oil Crisis changed everything. The Americans began buying European and Japanese vehicles. It was no longer "the best choice" to drive big American vehicles while having to give up so much money for gas.
This market shift occurs when someone ignores and continues to take the market for granted while their competitors provide innovative changes and pass them on.
But look what is happening today. As if these automakers never learned a lesson during the first Oil Crisis, they continued to produce larger vehicles called SUVs.
Today, the market for SUVs suffers while the Hybrids continue to sell. It would be a "no-brainer" to assume that a hybrid becomes "the best choice" for the Americans in the near future and now the automakers in America are doing everything they can to re-develop the Japanese hybrid engineering.
The role changed, now American automakers became the second or the third entity to introduce more popular and smaller vehicles.
Let's talk about the airline industry in America.
* Southwest Airline -- $49 internet special, same airplanes, short flights.
* World Airways -- though small, catering big to military personnel.
Southwest and World Airways both stayed in profit post 9/11 while they saw their big competitors filing bankrupt.
As you saw in the examples of airline companies, just catering to the big market will not make you rich. But focusing on the smaller niche does.
For example, Xerox should always provide copy machines and try not to focus on printers in the future. Burger King should stop trying to compete for the children's market and leave it to McDonald's and develop a different niche.
Your priority as a small business owner is not trying to change the world by catering to everybody. But rather, how you grow your business from one level to another level of expansion while staying in profit. And by continuing to focus on a small niche while expanding, you can take the time necessary educating your prospects and customers about the advantages you bring to the market.
You can ask your business the following two questions.
1. What advantages do you bring to your prospects compared to everybody else?
2. Why should people do business with you?
Once you develop your messages, continue to develop them and redefine them until everybody recognizes you to be the obvious leader in your small niche.
It's possible; you can do make yourself the local expert in your niche because you are a small business owner. And by doing the right, but small things, you can expand your business big.

Honda - among the most popular and reliable car companies in US
Honda has long been one of the most popular and dependable cars in America – very well built and very refined. According to the JD Power 2010 Vehicles Dependability Study Results, Honda ranked high on several different categories, including Compact MAV, Midsize Car, Sub-Compact Car and Midsize Pickups. In Compact MAV, Honda CR-V ranked number one, Midsize Car Honda Accord ranked three, Sub-Compact Car Honda Fit ranked number one and in Midsize Pickups Honda Ridgeline ranked one.
Honda has always been known for their refinement and dependability since arriving on the U.S. auto scene it the 70's. Like most Japanese cars, at first they were just very peculiar little cars. This peculiarity grew to popularity as they earned a name for themselves throughout the 80's. By the 90's they were so commonplace that the Honda accord was included as one of the three most popular sedans in the U.S. next to the Ford Taurus and Toyota Camry. Honda built on their success by the late 80's by introducing their Acura Luxury line in the late 80's. Also, having been limited to just mid-size and compact cars for the first couple of decades in the U.S., they further expanded their offering in the early 90's with the introduction of their first SUV here in the U.S. – the Honda Passport. The Passport was actually just a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo, but a smart way for Honda to test and penetrate the emerging SUV market without investing heavily in R&D and production. BY the end of the decade they had captured a share of this market as well the minivan market with the addition of the Honda Odyssey to their line-up.
Honda has recently passed up Toyota as the most prolific car brand in America with 12.3 market share, while Toyota's has dropped from 17+ % down to 12.1%, the Ford brand are currently trailing both of these. While Toyota has undoubtedly built a line of very dependable cars, their focus on quality as safety has slipped resulting in the well-publicized recalls that have really affected their sales and image. Honda has had no trouble stepping in and taking the stage will their continued focus on quality, reliability, and safety.

what would be the ideal audio setup
for around 1000 including ALL parts and, if necessary, labor. but i could probably do most of it myself.
Im definitely looking for a really pounding subwoofer, the regular speakers dont need to be especially loud though. i would prefer clarity over intense volume. Please keep in mind any unforeseen costs... would i need to upgrade the alternator? etc etc.
I dont need any specifics unless you are just an intensely nice person, I would just like to have an idea what to look for when i go to the audio shop tomorrow so i dont get ripped off or anything. Its for a first gen Isuzu rodeo/ honda passport, if that makes any difference.
For around 1000 bucks you should look for the following
some component speakers for the front. Component speakers have seperate tweeters and woofers, whereas coaxials have the tweeter built into the middle of the speaker. Component speakers feature the tweeter at shoulder to eye level to raise the soundstage and give a better sound. (it may take some fabrication to mount the tweeters but its worth it). about $150-200
Some descent 2-3 way coaxial speakers for the back would work. about $100-150
Then you'll need your subs. around $150 w/ enclosure
For a single amp you could use a 5 channel, one channel for each speaker, and one mono channel for the subs. Or you could do a dual sub setup with a 4 channel and a mono sub, each would amount to about $250
You would probably want a capacitor to prevent the power spikes (from large bass booms) from dimming your headlights, etc. about $100
I overestimated these prices a bit, and left 150 dollars extra to account for wiring/installation accessories. Assuming you already have a aftermarket head-unit or you will have to get a converter for about 30 bucks to use the factory radio.
DO IT YOURSELF, it may take a while but all of the information you need is available online and you will save alot of money.
