Honda Accord 1976-Present: The Accord is sold in more world markets than any other automobile and has sold 15.8 million units to date. In 1982, it was the first Japanese car built in the U.S.
7) Ford Model T 1908-1927: The classic Model T was the first car to be mass produced using the assembly-line system. It was also the first car to be affordable to most middle-class Americans. In its 19 years on the market 16.5 million units were sold.
6) Honda Civic 1972-Present: The Civic has been a top-seller for nearly 35 years thanks to its unrivaled combination of high quality, low price, comfortable nature, and great gas mileage. Since its inception in 1972, 17.7 million units have been sold.
5) Ford Escort 1967-2003: This car was produced by Ford's U.K division and was their first "world car." This sub-compact was designed to cater to gas-hungry Brits and Continental Europeans. In 1967 it was Britain's best-selling car.
4) Volkswagen Beetle 1938-1979: In 1931, the Volkswagen "Kafer" became a reality thanks to aggressive funding by Hitler's Third Reich. Introduced to the U.S. in the early 60s, the "Bug" became synonymous with imported cars during this period. Having sold an impressive 2.3 million units during its run, the Beetle currently holds the record for the world's longest-running body type of all time.
3) VW Golf 1974-Present: This car was initially brought forth as a replacement for the best-selling Beetle. Since 1974 there have been 25 million units sold and counting.
2) Ford F-Series 1948-Present: The Ford F-Series is the Ford Motor Co.'s best-selling line of full size pick-ups, the most popular being the Ford F-150. The F-Series was the best-selling vehicle in the U.S. for 23 years and was the best-selling truck for 31 years.
1) Toyota Corrolla 1966-Present: The Corolla offers a reliable name, high-performance, and low price, which has made it a mainstay on the world markets. Since 1966 32 million units have been sold. The car has gone through 10 major design changes, but still remains the epitome of sub-compact style.

Honda Accord – The Upcoming car
We are talking about the new 2008 Honda Accord that was launched recently in India. Honda has gone a step further this time with the eighth generation Accord by making it roomier, more powerful and pricing it extremely competitively as compared to its predecessor. The new car gets a complete makeover and manages to strike the perfect balance between being sporty and elite.
The new car has bold lines and an aggressive stance, which gives the car a much younger appeal. Although there is nothing overtly unconventional about its design, the car still manages to leave a lasting impression on the passersby.Honda Siel India has brought in the 2.4 litre variant to the country with both automatic and manual transmission options. There are other variants including a 3.5 litre V6 available in the international range of Honda, but as of now only the 2.4 litre model will be sold here in India.
The in-line four cylinders displace 2354cc and the 16-valve DOHC motor equipped with Honda patented iVTEC technology, pumps out 180 horses at 6500rpm and 222Nm of torque again at 6500rpm. The Accord always had good driveability as its strong selling point, and this remains unchanged even in the 2008 Accord. While the power on the automatic Accord feels a little sluggish initially, driving into the Sport mode, the response from the car is spot on.
The engine gives out a throaty note as you floor the gas, thanks to the intake which is a little louder than before. The car is strongly built, well-engineered and exhibits very high levels of refinement.
The gearbox is slick and gears slot-in with precision, keeping the entire gear-shift experience hassle-free and allowing the driver to enjoy every moment spent behind the wheel of this luxury sedan.
This luxury car has a 3000cc petrol engine, with dimensions of 4830(L) X 1820(W) X 1465(H) mm and weights 1530kg. It has a ground clearance and a wheelbase of 155mm and 2740mm respectively, a turning radius of 5.5 meters. It also comes with a factory fitted air conditioner, heater, music system (6 CD changer with 6 speakers and AM/FM stereo) and has additional features like automatic gear transmission, power steering & windows (front and rear), central door locking system, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), fog lamps, adjustable steering wheel & driver seat, leather plus woody steering wheel and gear knob cover, leather seat upholstery, light-on reminder, digital clock, keyless entry, aluminum wheels, dual exhaust and front console panel. It also comes with security features like driver and passenger air bags, seat belts for front and rear seats, front and rear door side impact beams, electronic force distribution (EFD), traction control system (TCS) and engine check warning.Variants available are 2.3 VTi,2.3 VTi Auto,2.3 VTi-L,2.3 VTi-L Auto.
In terms of styling, the car is at par with any other car in the same catagoty, proving more or less the same feaatures available in any other car. But, the fact remains that the car is still lagging behind its other variants like Honda city , Honda Civic & Honda Jazz. At the same time, it cannot be said as to when there will be a change in the trend at Accord will take over others in the family.

1995 honda accord with 120k miles won't start.. could it be the distributor?
The car starts up for about 1 second and dies immiediately. I know it's not the battery, I know it's not the alternator, and it couldn't be the motor. THe car was running just fine until it started to hiccup and lose power and finally died at a gas station. No smoke, no leaks nothing visually wrong as far as I can see.
I don't think it's the starter either because the car does turn over but then dies right away.
The only other thing I can think of is maybe the distributor. I didn't know that distributors go bad this fast but it has been raining a lot lately and has been quite cold so maybe the condensation and moisture got into it? I had a similar thing happen to an older honda civic a year ago and it was the distributor. Anyone have any suggestions?
SOunds like electical or fuel system. My money is that you bought cheap gas and it has water in it. Try some gasdri from an auto store and add a bottle to your tank and try to run the car some. If that doesn't fix it, I would take it to a shop and have them investigate - pchecking fuel lines and chaning the fuel filter would be the next step, and gasoline is dangerous.
Auto sales put on the brakes
Industry analysts trim forecasts for 2010 as fewer shoppers show up at dealerships. Wall Street is starting to talk about a worse year for car sales than analysts had anticipated, but automakers and suppliers may be better prepared to handle falling expectations than they were last year.
