Muscle car is a term which was coined for a high performance car. Usually, the cars made in United States, Australia and South Africa between 1964 and 1974 were referred to as muscle cars. These cars are mid sized cars having a powerful V8 engine. These cars are used for street or drag racing. These cars are specially designed for maximum torque and high performance.
Some of the very famous muscle cars are Plymouth Road Runner, Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, Dodge Superbee, Chevrolet Chevelle, Dodge Daytona, Mercury Cougar etc and the list goes on. A few modern day muscle cars are Chevrolet Impala SS, Dodge Charger Daytona, Mercury Grand Marquis, Ford Terminator SVT Cobra etc.
Muscle car insurance is different from the standard car insurance. Usually, the standard car insurance companies will not give you insurance policy for muscle cars. Even if they do, they will charge exorbitantly high premiums for that. Therefore, it is necessary to get the insurance from a reputed company which specializes in muscle car insurance.
Some of the things which you should keep in mind while choosing an insurance company for your muscle car are:
- Does this company specialize in muscle car insurance?
- Whether the company offer stated car value or agreed car value? Usually, the specialty car insurance companies and insurers will agree upon a value of coverage for your car depending upon certain guidelines.
- Does this company require a professional appraisal of car?
- What are the terms regarding deductibles and liabilities?
- Is there any mileage limitation on the car per year?
- Who else will be able to drive your car after taking insurance?
- Are there any restrictions for modification after policy approval?
- Does the company give any discounts on safety features?
- What is the policy on roadside assistance?
- How simple and reliable is the customer support, payment process, claim process etc.
The best way to find a good muscle car insurance company is to do some research on internet. You can get reviews from existing customers, compare terms and conditions, get quotes etc easily sitting at home.

Durable Pontiac Car Door—sporty and Aggressive Safety Car Component
From 1926 to present, Pontiac vehicles has continued to be one of the high performance and sporty marque of vehicle produced by General Motors. This mid level car make was originally introduced as a 5 passenger car by the Oakland Automobile Co. Even though Pontiac vehicles were designed as a low-price alternative, they are far more equipped than entry level cars with its standard car parts and equipments. The powerful line up of Pontiac includes the Pontiac Sunfire, Pontiac G6, Pontiac Grand Prix, Pontiac GTO, Pontiac Vibe, Pontiac Bonneville, Pontiac Montana SV6, Pontiac Aztek and Pontiac Montana. The sporty, aggressive but youthful impact of Pontiac vehicles made them appeal to younger car enthusiasts. But it would not be able to catch the attention of car lovers if not for the car components comprising it. No matter how big or small, every component attached to your Pontiac complements the performance and feature of your car. They are highly engineered so you would be able to achieve the durability and efficiency in ride handling.
The Pontiac door is among the most important aspects of your car. This car component is basically an opening that enables you to get inside and outside of your car easily. Although important, car doors are the most often neglected and abused part of your car. This may be one of the simplest car parts, but it ensures your safety and protection. Just think of your Pontiac without a door. Even if you have the most technologically advanced and high performance parts, your Pontiac would be incomplete without a car door. Do you know that in the United States alone, forty-two thousand accidents resulted from defective car door locks and hinges? With this figure, don’t you think that you should not take your car doors for granted? For this reason, your Pontiac vehicle has adapted the regulations and standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regarding car doors. To be able to make your driving safe, you must employ constant repairs and inspection of your Pontiac car door for possible cracks, dings, and defects.
Your Pontiac door is made up of several parts which include the door handle, door glass, door panel, door frame, window channel, door skin and door switch. The door handle is used to lift up the locking mechanism present in your car door so that you can get in or out of your car. The door glass or window glass is a car door part that can be raised or lowered. The door switch, on the other hand activates all the other spurs and gears installed on your car door assembly. The inner door panel is attached to the door frame. The door skin is attached outside the window channel and the door frame. And lastly, the window channel is where the door glass is mounted. There are also two types of car doors: the manual car doors and the electric or automated car doors. Automated car doors are electrically controlled with a motor that is hidden within the lower corner or rearward corner of your door. If you want to upgrade your car door, just go to your favorite car parts dealer and get some car door add-ons.

Will there ever be another Trans Am?
I have a confession: I've loved Trans Ams since I was a kid. Smokey and the Bandit was great and I saw every episode of Knight Rider right on up until I was old enough to get a driver's license.
Naturally, my first car was a '78 Firebird, followed by a '79 Trans Am (the car I wanted to begin with). I bought a 2000 Trans Am WS6 as soon as I paid off my student loans from college, and it's the best car I've ever driven. My face hurt when I bought it from grinning so much.
Now it's got 100k miles, and I'm faced with a painful reality. It won't last forever.
I can't bring myself to buy a Ford. And the Dodge Charger is just too heavy. The GTO is out, not that it mattered. It looked too much like a Grand Prix and had poor handling. I might be able to settle for a Camaro in 2009, but why should I have to settle?
Am I going to have to look at a Subaru WRX STi or Mitsubishi Evo? Have things gotten this bad? Pontiac, tell me you're listening.
I am the proud owner of a 2000 NHRA Special Edition T/A.
I was just having this very conversation with a friend at work today...he's a Mopar fan, but we'll forgive him. I'm afraid I can't source this, but the Vice President of GM gave an update to this subject.
Already you know that the GTO has been built on the Holden Zeta platform that it's Monaro coupe and ute are built on. This will be the platform for the new Camaro in 2009. In 2008, Pontiac will re-introduce the GTO yet again with some redesign on the same Zeta platform. The GM VP also said that the next Impala and Monte Carlo will also be made from this Zeta platform. He even hinted that Chevy could put a front fascia on the Monaro utility vehicle, and re-introduce the El Camino, although he said that there were no immediate plans as such. While he did not mention the Firebird, it stands to reason that with the resurgence in popularity of old nameplates and styling, that we will see the Firebird in the future from the Zeta platform. As I told my Mopar friend, the Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum, Charger, and yes, even the 2008 Challenger will all share the same platform, so the fact that GM is going the same route of using one platform for many different vehicles indicates to me that they plan to use this cost-cutting technique to bring more quality and variety into their cars. After all, there are MANY more T/A fans out there than Camaro fans, and if we shout loud enough, the Bird will rise again!
