alternator on sbc in an s10?
i want the alternator bracket that places it in the lower driver side where the power steering would be but im afraid that it won't clear the cross member,but the motor mounts that i have place the motor a bit more forward in the engine compartment for more room so its a fine line if it will or wont clear can someone please help me , thank you for your time!
I wanted a low mount alternator in my '63 Nova and every kit I got from Summit wouldn't work. I ended up making some patterns out of thin paneling like you'd put in home. It took several tries but when I had a pattern that would mount the alternator where I wanted it I transfered that shape to 5/16 inch plate steel, made two brackets cause that's what you'll need...front and back, and painted them up. Made some adjustment brackets and I was in business.
