HI ALL. CAN ANYONE HELP ME ALONG THE WAY WITH MY ENGINE REBUILD.
ITS A 2004 VW LT 35 VAN WITH A 2.5 TDI ENGINE.
I WOULD LIKE TO NO THE HEAD TORQUE SETTINGS AND SEQUENCE FOR TIGHTENING AND THE TORQUE SETTING FOR THE MAIN AND BIG END BEARINGS.

Renew bolts, tighten in four stages: 40Nm, 60Nm, 90 degrees & 90 degrees.

Tightening sequence: If you look at the head with the flywheel on your left, pulleys on the right, and number the row away from you 1-6, and the row nearest you 7-10, sequence is
9-4-10-3-11-2-8-5-12-1-7-6
(Hope this makes sense)

Main bearings: Old bolts OK, 2 stages - 30Nm, 65Nm.

Big Ends: Renew Bolts, tighten to 30Nm then a further 90 degrees.
