Does anyone have a diagram on how to change a serpentine belt on a 2000 Mercury Sable?
It doesn't have to be a sable exactly, just any car that has the same set up, like the Ford Taurus.
There isn't a sticker under the hood or in the user manual.
You'll need to stick a ratchet into the tensioner pulley, and crank the ratchet clockwise, and you'll see the tensioner pulley rotate, so you can then slide off the old belt. Wrap the new belt around all of the pulleys, except one. When you're ready to slip the belt onto the last pulley, rotate the tensioner pulley out of the way, so there will be enough slack on the belt to slip it in place.
