After months of patience, I finally got to see the most awaited car-the Tata Nano at a nearby Tata showroom. I was all geared up to note down what the Nano really had on the inside and the outside, but before coming to those details let me tell you why Mr. Tata thought of building this little car. Firstly, we all know that the Nano is the world's cheapest car priced at a mind-boggling Rs1akh and above, it is quite obvious that Tata motors has achieved the impossible. All of the hard work was done to give middle class families a safer means of transport instead of having a two wheeler which is never safe to travel on, especially with families consistng of five members. So, let us find out if the Nano delivers the maximum bang for the buck.

One look at the exteriors of the Nano and you will be floored with it's fun loving features, it stands tall at 1652mm which totally impressed me, I even circled the Nano nearly ten times as I couldn't believe how well it's been designed, there is not a single flaw in it's design and will refuse to look odd at any angle. The A-pillar and C-pillar highlighted in black looks cool and adds a sleek look to the car, unlike other cars the Nano has just one door mirror (on the driver's side). This car is coupled to 135/R12 tyres (front) and 155/65R12 tyres (rear) and they definitely suit the car very well. The Nano's battery sits under the driver's seat (nice idea). The wheels of the car consist of three bolts unlike other cars which have four or more, the wheel arches are chunky and adds up to the car's masculinity, let me also remind you that the Nano doesn't have a boot that opens up for your luggage though you do have access from the inside, that too, for your shopping baggage. The ventilated slits behind the rear door is for air ventilation of the engine at the rear. Yes, the engine is situated in the rear and not in the front which make's this India's first rear engined car powered by a 624cc, 2-cylinders in-line multi point fuel injected motor churning out 35 bhp and 4.9 kgm of torque mated to a four-speed manual transmission delivering an outstanding fuel efficiency of 23 plus kmpl in city conditions and 20. 1 kmpl on the highway, it's tail pipe is placed in the middle of the rear bumper which again no other car has. The different variants include the basic STD model, CX and the top of the line LX which crosses the 2lakh rupee mark. Fueling your car though can be a bit painful as you have to step out of the car and pop your bonnet open.

Getting into the Nano was done with ease, I just had to slide in without my head getting hurt on the roof. Closing the door resulted in a nice "THUB" like sound quality which told me that this car is well built and not flimsy, upholstery on the inside is quite good but the seat's though don't offer any bolstering yet feel nice and spongy, the seats offer decent thigh support, back support is also creditable. There is ample kneeroom, headroom and legroom, enough to seat five with aplomb, the innovatively designed scooped out dashboard is what caught my eye, you can use the whole thing to store whatever you wish to, and believe it or not but there is so much space that you can make youre little poodle have a good snooze in that space. The speedometer and fuel gauge are mounted upon the centre console which consists of a few well finished AC knobs that are easy to use, the gear lever sits nice and high, texture of the plastic feels soft and smooth.

How to adjust the R9 - The R9 has a small metallic sleeve positioned over the tip of the shaft. The shaft is secured to the club head with a specially made bolt in the bottom of the club head. The FCT bolt is designed to be retained in the well to eliminate the chance of losing it. At the bottom of the sleeve is a ring of small, gear like teeth, which tightly mesh with a second ring of matching teeth within the hosel. You can change the club head's characteristics (face angle, loft, lie) by loosening the FCT bolt, removing the shaft from the head, rotating the sleeve and shaft into a specified position, then locking them into that position within the head with the FCT bolt.
